Giving Treesday 12/3/2019

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, please join us in celebrating the eighth annual Giving Tuesday.

After the flurry of shopping that kicks off the holiday season settles a bit, Giving Tuesday is a great way to celebrate the spirit of giving with contributions to the causes we care about.

Now more than ever we need your support! Over the past year we have seen unprecedented attacks to America's threatened lands, waters, and wildlife. From the Trump administration gutting the Endangered Species Act (ESA), to the U.S. Forest Service announcing new rules to expedite the plunder of taxpayer-owned national forests, our opponents' assaults have grown more frequent and more flagrant.

In the face of these federal rollbacks on protections our efforts have helped in resisting forest destruction. The recently introduced "PAW and FIN Conservation Act of 2019," H.R. 4348 in the U.S. House of Representatives and its companion bill in the Senate, S. 2491, would directly and fully reverse Donald Trump's recent evisceration of the ESA. And at the state level, S.B 69, now a two-year bill, would strengthen protection for forestland rivers and streams in California.

and help protect our forests right away!

Together we can protect California's precious forests ecosystems from needless destruction at the hands of extractive industries; but to be successful we need not only your voice but also your ongoing financial support. We urge you to give generously this #GivingTuesday.
