We remain the only non-profit group that works every day of the year to save and restore California's forests and wildlife habitat through broad-based grassroots advocacy.

A great deal has changed since Forests Forever was founded in 1989. Today we face a maelstrom of threats, ranging from global warming and the extinction crisis (known about back then but much worse now) to a timber industry that has logged virtually all its old-growth but keeps coming up with new justifications for leveling forests... wildfire control and biofuels production most recently.

Forests Forever's long experience and broad grassroots organizing capacity render it invaluable among the advocacy groups fighting for forest conservation today, and especially on the bellwether West Coast.
