Sequoias are better off with stronger, not weaker, environmental laws!

The bill is "nothing more than a Trojan horse to diminish important environmental reviews and cut science and communities out of the decision-making process,"said Earthjustice Senior Legislative Representative Blaine Miller-McFeeley.

"Despite its local focus the bill would set a precedent for further weakening of environmental laws that could have far-reaching repercussions nationwide."

Of great concern, nine California Democrats—all with 2021 League of Conservation Voters scores of 96 or 100 (out of 100)—appear to be unaware, so far, of the danger posed by these panic-driven waivers of environmental laws; they have signed on as co-sponsors as recently as June 28. They must be urged to reverse course and withdraw their support for this bill!
