Like most timber industry-backed legislation, the sham "Fix Our Forests Act" would accomplish the opposite of its stated aims regarding both forest health and protection of communities from wildfire.
California arguably has the most forest to lose among the lower 48 states: Parts or all of 20 national forests are located here.
