What's in a creek?


As of March 24, 2009, thirty-five (35) separate Timber Harvest Plans (THPs) involving watershed lands owned by Sierra Pacific Industries, Sierra Pacific Holding Co., and R.H. Emmerson & Son LLC had been submitted to and were under consideration for approval by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CDF).

The nearly 25,000 acres of watershed lands under consideration for logging include creek, ridge, rim, reservoir, and canyon locations in Amador, Butte, Calaveras, El Dorado, Humboldt, Lassen, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Shasta, Sierra, Tehama, Trinity, and Tuolumne counties.
